Antonov Airlines and charter firm Golden Aviation recently transported 95 tons of oil & gas equipment from Norway to Singapore utilising an AN-124-100 freighter.

The equipment, which included cable reel and pipes, was flown from Stavanger and required specialised equipment for loading and unloading.

Antonov Airlines commercial executive Eugene Kiva said: “Recently, Golden Aviation and [freight forwarder] Pentagon Freight Services, on behalf of one of their major global oil service company clients chartered the Antonov-124-100, successfully completing a complex 7,700-mile journey, transporting critical oil and gas equipment.

“The mission involved the handling of oversized and heavy cargo, which required specialised loading equipment at both the departure and arrival points.

“Despite the logistical challenges and complex loading/unloading, the flight departed and arrived precisely on schedule, demonstrating the reliability and precision of the Antonov 124 and its crew in executing such demanding operations.”
