ASL Airlines Belgium leases B747-400F from China Airlines

ASL Airlines Belgium has confirmed that the B747-400 freighter (OE-ILC) leased from China Airlines will operate on its long haul network, “in the main between Liege and China” said a spokesperson.

Based at Liege airport, ASL Airlines Belgium is a member of the ASL Aviation Holdings Group.

It specialises in the express freight market and also offers scheduled, charter and ad-hoc flights with aircraft including the Boeing 747-400F and the Boeing 737-800F and 400F.

Added the spokesperson: “The aircraft is leased from China Airlines and all we can say now is that the lease is for a number of years.

“The aircraft is the first replacement for the off-lease B747-400Fs that recently left the fleet. It is part of ongoing fleet replacement/renewal programme that will include similarly capable wide-body aircraft and B737-800’s, for which we have agreed 10 conversion slots with 10 options.”
