Challenge Group has completed its 1,000th charter flight since its first charter flight in 2020.

The Group has steadily grown its charter operations in the last few years.

2022 saw Challenge Group operate around two charters per week to destinations globally.

It carried out a total of 90 flights carrying a broad mix of commodities from humanitarian aid, pharma, artwork, energy/oil & gas equipment, music stage equipment, live animals, perishables, and vehicles.

The Group has an end-to-end approach that involves arranging trucking at origin, building up the cargo, loading it onto a Challenge aircraft under one of the three AOC it owns, flying it to the destination, unloading it and then delivering it by truck to its end-destination.

Challenge said the growth of its charter operations is in line with its overall fleet growth (+60% in 2024).

The freighter operator’s fleet includes Boeing 747-400 as well as 767 freighters.

The Group is busy expanding its routes and is on course to operate a mix of 12 Boeing freighters by 2026.
