Changes at the head of Cathay Pacific’s cargo business

Cathay Pacific has changed the reporting lines of its cargo division.

Freighter fleet network planning will now fall under the remit of the new director of commercial, Lavinia Lau, while cargo commercial will report directly to chief customer and commercial officer, Paul Loo.

Lau takes over the role from director commercial and cargo Ronald Lam, who has been made the chief executive of HK Express following its takeover by Cathay Pacific.

Lau is responsible for the passenger functions of revenue management and sales and distribution, together with planning for both the passenger and freighter fleets and networks.

Previously, she was general manager planning, formulating and executing the fleet, network and scheduling strategy for both Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon for the past four years.
