Navitrans to operate leased B747-400ERF to Zhengzhou

The start of September will see air charter service provider Navitrans begin the lease of a Boeing 747-400ERF (Extended Range Freighter) from Sky Lease.
The lease on the nose-loading freighter covers a period of 36 months from September 1.
Navitrans is to use the aircraft to operate a scheduled three times a week service linking Chicago O’Hare International with Zhengzhou Airport, providing up to 120 tons of capacity on the intercontinental route.
Other destinations in China will be covered by Navitrans’ trucking network.
Navitrans noted that the freighter is well capable of flying specialised freight loads, including oversized cargo such as aircraft engines, livestock or lithium batteries.
