IAG Cargo joins Airforwarders Association
24 / 02 / 2015
IAG Cargo has become the first international (non-US) carrier to gain platinum membership of the Washington-based Airforwarders Association (AfA).
As a platinum member, IAG Cargo – the freight arm of British Airways and Iberia – said that it will help shape AfA policy and engage in advocacy on key legislation that affects the cargo industry, freight forwarders and airlines.
Joe LeBeau, vice president commercial, North America, at IAG Cargo said: “IAG Cargo is one of the world’s leading air cargo carriers and as such we only associate ourselves with the best.
“It is therefore a great pleasure and honour for us to be the first International carrier platinum member of AfA. The global marketplace is more dynamic than ever and I believe IAG Cargo and the AfA are perfectly set up to grow for the long term.”
Other AfA platinum members include Alaska Airlines Cargo, Delta Air Lines Cargo, Southwest Airlines Cargo and US Airways.
