KLM launches Shipping Blue global package delivery product for SMEs

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched a small package delivery service for its BlueBiz customers.
Shipping Blue is described by the carrier as a new worldwide package delivery service developed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
All members of the Air France KLM’s BlueBiz loyalty programme are now able to ship packages of up to 30kg to any global location at a “highly competitive price”.
Once a booking is made, the package will be collected by a courier.
The shipment is then flown by Air France or KLM to the airport closest to the destination, where it is picked up by a courier and delivered to the addressee.
A Track & Trace service ensures that customers can monitor the shipment and delivery process.
Packages are delivered door-to-door in a three to five working day window.
“This service once again shows that we are investing in our future with new products and that we respond swiftly to opportunities in the market,” observed Marcel de Nooijer, executive vice president of Air France KLM Martinair Cargo.
“It also reaffirms our cargo strategy to invest in digitisation, infrastructure and strategic cooperation in order to maximise our contribution to the Air France KLM Group.”
