Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) achieved a net profit after interest and tax of RM54m for the year, posting its third consecutive year of operating profit at RM113m.

MAG expanded its international network through new routes and partnerships during 2024, although it introduced capacity cuts during the traditionally strong fourth quarter owing to supply chain disruptions that extended maintenance times and delays in new aircraft delivery.

MAB Kargo, MAG’s cargo division, posted a higher operating profit for 2024 than the previous year.

The load factor for belly and freighter cargo rose by eight and three percentage points respectively, year on year.
