Etihad senior vice president of global sales and cargo Martin Drew will be leaving the airline.
The Abu-Dhabi based airline told Air Cargo News that Drew would be stepping down from his role, however, it did not confirm when he would leave.
The airline also did not confirm who would be appointed as his replacement.
“Martin Drew, senior vice president of global sales and cargo, will be leaving Etihad Airways,” said an Etihad spokesperson.
“Martin was instrumental in leading our sales and cargo operations over the past few years having driven considerable revenue growth and fortified our partnerships with trade and corporate partners, freight forwarders and other key stakeholders around the world.
“His leadership of Etihad Cargo was especially critical over the past few years when it was an essential lifeline through the pandemic.
“We would like to thank Martin for his leadership and wish him all the best with his next venture.”
Etihad did not confirm what Drew planned to do following his departure from the airline.
The STAT Trade Times reported Drew would leave by the end of September.
Drew has over 25 years of experience in commercial aviation.
Prior to beginning his current position in November 2020, Drew was vice president – Europe & Americas for over two and a half years.
He was also previously senior vice president – Americas.
Drew’s current eight-year stint at Etihad was preceded by a short period of time as vice president cargo at Jet Airways, after nine years as head of freighters and business partnership at Etihad.
He began his aviation career as regional manager – Middle East at Das Air Cargo.
