MSC Air Cargo has achieved the IATA CEIV Pharma certification as the company responds to growing pharma volumes.

The certification is used by companies to demonstrate that their pharma operations meet the standards set by IATA, which set a benchmark for the handling, storage, and transportation of pharmaceutical products, ensuring adherence to industry guidelines.

MSC Air Cargo head of product, quality and transformation Joern Roehl said: “The certification highlights our commitment to quality and to our dedication to continuously challenging the status quo, enhancing our quality standards, and our reliability as a trusted partner in pharmaceutical logistics.”

The airline said that the certification comes as temperature-controlled shipments continue to grow in significance within the air cargo market and the demands on those responsible for transporting pharmaceuticals have increased.

MSC Air Cargo pharma specialist Juan Devarez added: “For us, this is another important milestone in ensuring we deliver our customers’ freight as promised, all while maintaining the highest standards in pharmaceutical logistics.”
