Otto leaves Lufthansa Cargo for Austrian Airlines

Andreas Otto is leaving Lufthansa Cargo after 14 years to become chief commercial officer of Austrian Airlines.
Dr Otto, the board member for product & sales at Lufthansa Cargo in Frankfurt, will take up the new role in October 2014.
Lufthansa Cargo’s supervisory board will decide on Dr Otto’s successor “promptly” the German carrier said in a statement.
Dr Otto will succeed Karsten Benz, who is returning to the Lufthansa Group in Frankfurt.
Harry Hohmeister, chairman of the supervisory boards of both Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa Cargo, said: “I am delighted to gain an experienced and successful airline manager from our own ranks in Dr Andreas Otto.
“For 14 years he helped shape the development of Lufthansa Cargo AG into one of the world’s most profitable cargo airlines.”
