Qatar Airways keeps passengers and pets together

Qatar Airways has made it easier for passengers to travel on the same flight as their pets into and out of its home hub of Doha, by lowering the price and more than doubling the permitted weight of animals being transported as baggage on its passenger aircraft.
The weight allowance for pets and their containers in this category has gone up from 32kg to 75kg, while fees are significantly lower.
Qatar is one of only a handful of airlines in the world to transport domestic animals as checked-in baggage, the carrier’s chief commercial officer Ehab Amin said.
Domestic pets heavier than 75kg, meanwhile, are handled by Qatar Airways Cargo, which regularly transports animals via its Qatar Airways Live Freighter Service.
