Swissport and Saudia Cargo sign deal

SWISSPORT International, global provider of ground and cargo handling services to the aviation industry, has signed a five-year agreement with Saudi Airlines Cargo for the handling of the airline’s freighter operations at two key European hubs of Brussels and Amsterdam.
The agreement covers the complete scope of cargo handling services including on the ramp and in the warehouse.
The new agreement follows up on the long-established cooperation between the two companies in the UK.
Nils Pries Knudsen, head of global cargo at Swissport International, states: “We are convinced that we are in the right position to meet the handling needs of Saudia in Europe and will be a reliable and solid handling partner for this leading cargo carrier.”
Mohammed Linjawi, vice-president of operations of Saudi Cargo, says that Saudi Airlines Cargo is one of the fastest growing air cargo carriers worldwide.
“At the same time we are continuously striving to improve efficiency and quality levels. Swissport Cargo shares these values and we are looking forward to extending the benefits to our customers.”
