United Cargo expands TempControl services

UNITED CARGO has expanded its temperature-sensitive shipments reach to include Lima, Peru and Taipei, Taiwan.
The expansion increases the number of locations certified to provide United Cargo TempControl services to 47 stations in its worldwide network.
Lima is the fourth South American city certified to transport TempControl shipments, joining Buenos Aires, Såo Paulo and Rio De Janeiro.
United serves Taipei with a daily B777 flight from San Francisco. Taipei is the tenth location in the Asia Pacific region certified to transport TempControl shipments, joining Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
"The transport of temperature-sensitive material demands faultless teamwork and execution, so we invest in a great deal of preparation and training before we certify a new TempControl location," says Mary Tussing, United Cargo’s manager of specialty sales.
"It’s gratifying to contribute to the lives of the people of Peru and Taiwan by providing safe and swift transport of medicines, vaccines and other healthcare necessities," she adds. "We’re also pleased to be able to support Taiwan’s growing pharmaceuticals industry."
