June airfreight rates down on last year, says Drewry

The latest Drewry East-West Airfreight Price Index indicates a dip in airfreight rates for June, compared to the same month of 2018.

According to Drewry’s Sea & Air Shipper Insight: “Drewry’s East-West Airfreight Price Index inched up 1 percent in June – but remain 4 percent lower than in June 2018. Airfreight rates grew $2.54 from $2.52/kg, after a fall of $0.08 between April and May.

“Drewry expects July rates to remain equable.”
