Dachser Asia Pacific launches Mexico air charter service

Logistics provider Dachser Asia Pacific has expanded its air charter operations to cover the Latin America (LatAm) region.

Dachser Asia Pacific recently partnered with Air Canada to operate four charter flights in June, from Hong Kong to Mexico via Canada, using a Boeing 777 passenger aircraft with the seats removed.

Dachser Asia Pacific said in a statement: “The charter flights flew from Hong Kong International Airport to Air Canada’s hub in Vancouver. After transit in Canada, the shipment was split into three flights to make their way to the Mexico City International Airport. The service is confirmed to continue in July.”

Currently, in addition to its Mexico service, Dachser’s charter programme offers regular full and part services on the routes: Hong Kong to Frankfurt, and Shanghai to Frankfurt.

Additionally, Dachser Asia Pacific operates charters in response to customer demand, connecting Asia with the rest of the world. For example, from Hong Kong to Los Angeles; and Nanjing to Hamburg.

Endy Chan, department head airfreight, air and sea logistics at Dascher Asia Pacific, commented: “At the moment the market is still unpredictable, our strong air freight network at Dachser can provide customers a stable supply chain solution. Sometimes it costs more to ship using a premium option, but the reliable transit time justified the cost-effectiveness.”
