Hong Kong Air Cargo (HKC) has opened a new Greater Bay Area Office (GBA Office) in Shenzhen to expand its business in the region.

According to a HKC LinkedIn post on July 31, chairman and president of HKC, ZHANG Youqiang, said: “The opening of our GBA Office in Shenzhen is a strategic move for HKC’s growth and expansion. As a Hong Kong-based air cargo carrier, we are dedicated to serving the GBA market and enhancing Hong Kong’s connectivity with the mainland and the world.”

In addition to the new office, Dongguan Bay Area Express Group, HKC and Shenzhen AAA Logistics Group have signed a tripartite air charter service agreement.

“All parties will actively play the advantages of the “Dongguan-Hong Kong International Aviation Hub” and create the “Dongguan-Hong Kong-India” international air transport aviation link,” said HKC.

Zhang Jianjun, HKC director of commercial, said: “The ‘Dongguan-Hong Kong International Aviation Hub’ effectively reduces transportation time and logistics costs.

“We will take this signing as an opportunity to continue to deepen our connection with Dongguan Port and provide better aviation services to serve the Greater Bay Area and local enterprises in Dongguan.”

Establishing the GBA Office is in line with the outline of14th Five-Year Plan, which aims to promote the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and strengthen Hong Kong’s position as an international aviation hub.
