China Airlines extends Fraport deal

Fraport Cargo Services (FCS) and China Airlines have renewed the carrier’s cargo handling contract at Frankfurt Airport.
FCS managing director Andreas Helfer said: “We are very pleased that China Airlines, one of Asia’s leading airlines, has decided to extend its contract with Fraport Cargo Services for providing landside cargo handling services at Frankfurt Airport.
“This advance extension of the handling contract clearly underscores China Airline’s confidence in FCS, especially our high standards for security, quality and service.
“We will continue to do our utmost to meet the expectations and requirements of our customers in the future.”
China Airlines is the only carrier flying nonstop from Germany to Taipei and it plans to  expand to a daily service in June 2016.
In early November, Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) completed its acquisition of a 51% shareholding in FCS for airfreight handling at Frankfurt Airport.
