Dubai International sees 3.4% rise in 2015 cargo volumes

Dubai International Airport (DXB) handled 2,506,092 tonnes of airfreight in 2015, a 3.4% increase on the previous year despite the transfer of all pure cargo operators to Dubai World Central.
Monthly freight volumes in December totalled 218,408, up 5% compared to 207,618 recorded during the same month in 2014.
The UAE airport retained its position as the world’s number one hub for international passengers by registering annual traffic of just over 78m in 2015.
