Frankfurt Air Cargo Community welcomes new members

The Frankfurt Air Cargo Community has added six new members to its ranks as they look to shape the future of the hub’s cargo operation.
At the group’s latest general meeting, it welcomed freight forwarders a. hartrodt, AF Logistik, Bolloré and Hermes, while BDA Logistics Innovation, specialising in transport between Europe, Ireland and the UK, joined the airline group.
Furthermore, the Air Cargo Community welcomed the University RheinMain in Wiesbaden. Besides the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, this institution is the second university to join the community.
Executive director of the community, Joachim von Winning, said: “The newest additions to our community show that the close cooperation between all players in the air freight supply chain at Frankfurt Airport has been recognized as attractive and important.
"Within the community we push this cooperation forward on many levels, for example with regard to digitalisation, or to promote a mutual understanding for large parts of the supply chain at Frankfurt Airport. In doing so, we ensure the appeal of our location as Europe’s leading cargo hub.”
