Frankfurt freight down, passengers up

Frankfurt Airport’s cargo throughput (airfreight and airmail) declined by 1.8% to about 1.04 million tonnes in the first half of the year, according to the airport authority’s latest figures, published on 10 July. For the month of June, cargo dropped by 2.5% to 173,984 tonnes. Passenger traffic did better, rising 4.1% to 28.9 million in the half year – a record for the January-June period.
