Frankfurt’s August cargo volumes up by 0.8%
13 / 09 / 2018
Germany’s Frankfurt airport saw a slight increase in cargo volumes in August, up by just 0.8% year on year to 182,589 tonnes, although airfreight and airmail throughputs for first eight months of 2018 are down 0.7% to just over 1.4m tonnes.
The slight improvement in August at Europe’s number one cargo hub follows a 6.4% decline in July’s volumes to 75,960 tonnes, due to a reduced number of freighter aircraft flights and less belly freight on passenger aircraft.
