Fraport Cargo Services opens new pharma base

FRAPORT Cargo Services (FCS) has opened a new facility for temperature-sensitive shipments, writes Thelma Etimdeputy editor.
It allows the German cargo handling company to store healthcare products at between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, whereas previously it was restricted to handling medicines requiring a range of 2-8 degrees.
“We have also introduced new procedures and processing standards for import and export when dealing with this sensitive cargo – so that as little time as possible elapses between the refrigerated truck and the refrigerated warehouse,” says Diana Schöneich, managing director of FCS.
