Houston and Cabo Frio airports team-up to target energy sector

Houston Airport System and Cabo Frio Airport are teaming up to target air cargo flows between two of the largest oil, gas and energy clusters in the Americas.

The two airport groups said the co-operation would promote the air cargo traffic between the airports; identify synergies with potential partners, clients, and products; share knowledge and experiences to the development of new business and create a direct and clear channel to enable feasible all the actions.

The main objective of the partnership is to position Cabo Frio as Houston’s gateway into Brazil, once the city has a strategic location close to the Campos and Santos Basins, where much of Brazil’s oil production is based, with efficient access to the main cities of the largest economic region in the country.

The official signing ceremony will take place on April 11 during the meeting of the International Trade Development Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership. Houston Airport System manages George Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby Airports.
