Lufthansa Cargo’s Gloy to lead Frankfurt freight group

The Air Cargo Community Frankfurt board have unanimously voted in favour of Harald Gloy as the new Chairman of the Board.
Gloy, who is currently Lufthansa Cargo’s director of operations, replaces Soeren Stark as he joined the Lufthansa Technik executive board in Hamburg from the cargo division at the beginning of the year.
"I am very much looking forward to working with Harald Gloy and his impulses for our work", said community executive director Joachim von Winning.
"In addition to his professional expertise, he also has significant experience in working in aviation industry associations."
Gloy’s ability to see beyond the horizon will help to further advance the work of the Frankfurt airfreight community, the group said.
This year, the group has two main focal points: Support members in the recruitment of skilled workers and the profiling of employer brands in Frankfurt.
Second, the community sees digitisation, with its many challenges, as the engine for airfreight of the future, for faster and verifiable processes.
To this end, the community plans to establish an Air Cargo Digitisation Catalyst (ACDC) group in the spring, a platform for members to exchange ideas on the subject of digitisation.
