Ontario: double-digit cargo growth

Ontario International Airport has posted year-on-year growth of 19.8% in its cargo throughput for February.
The double-digit rise in volumes saw 50,449 tonnes of cargo moving through the Californian gateway.
Mail rose by 2.6% year on year, to 2,182 tonnes for the month. The combined freight and mail total was 52,631 tonnes, up 19%.
Over the first two months of 2018, cargo increased 21.4% year on year (to 105,503 tonnes); mail rose 6.4% (to 4,399 tonnes); and the combined total stood at 109,902 tonnes (up 20.7%).
● Ontario will welcome daily China Airlines flights from Taiwan from March 25.
