PACTL’S record air cargo hike

SHANGHAI Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal (PACTL) saw its freight volumes rise by 14.44 per cent to 321,549 tonnes in the first three months of 2014 – the best first quarter result in the history of the company.
The Sino-German entity also enjoyed record growth of 17.38 per cent year-on-year in March, beating its previous record (129,363) set in November last year.
Lutz Grzegorz, vice-president of PACTL, comments: “In addition to ongoing positive developments in our domestic business, we saw strong double-digit growth in our international business in the first quarter, especially in the large volume of international exports that we handled in March.”
Chinese Kunming Airlines is the latest carrier PACTL has begun providing services for. The carrier runs a daily flight from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to its home base at Kunming Wujiaba International Airport.
