Strike hits Frankfurt freight

Frankfurt Airport said its November traffic was badly hit by a Lufthansa flight attendant strike which led to the cancellation of 3,400 scheduled flights. Cargo for the month was down 3.9%; for the year-to-date it fell by 2.7% to just over 1.9 million tonnes.
The Fraport Group’s Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide arm has meanwhile signed 40 year concessions with its Greek partner Copelouzos Group to operate, manage, develop and maintain 14 regional airports in the country including those at the second-largest city, Thessaloniki, plus Aktio and Kavala along with 11 on the Greek islands including Corfu and Rhodes.
