European Aviation Conference
29 November 2023 - 1 December 2023
Over its history of 20 years, the European Aviation Conference has become a unique forum for lively discussions between researchers, policy makers and industry practitioners for contemporary issues in aviation management and economics.
The conference has a long and rich history of generating lively, enriching, and productive discussions. After multiple stop-overs in many European capitals, including Vienna, Athens, Dublin, Amsterdam, the conference is finally landing in Luxembourg!
The focus of this year’s conference is on all issues relating to air cargo and freight transport in aviation. Cargo is a critical aspect of the contribution of aviation to the European economy and society, as was made clearer than ever during recent years.
The Co-Chairs of the EAC 2023 Organising Committee, Professor Benny Mantin of the University of Luxembourg and Thomas Immelmann of the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, are pleased to welcome participants and speakers to Luxembourg.
This year’s conference will consider the air cargo market with topics such as:
The evolving role of air cargo in trade and global supply chains
Air service agreements and the potential for air freight to lead the way toward further liberalisation
The implications of greater strategic competition between trade blocs on air freight flows
The need for process digitalization and the role of e-commerce
Climate impacts and Fit for 55 legislation
Infrastructure and operational challenges in air cargo logistics
The scope of drones – operational capabilities and business models
Aviation policy over the years: regulation, deregulation and re-regulation?
