BIFA winners take centre stage

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has revealed the winners of its Freight Service Awards Competition 2018.
This year’s awards were hosted by double Olympic champion Colonel Dame Kelly Holmes who gave a motivational speech about what it takes to be a winner whilst dealing with physical and emotional issues.
The winners in the eleven categories are:
The Project Forwarding Award – Specialist Logistics Services
The Specialist Services Award – Charles Kendall Freight
The Staff Development Award – Hemisphere Freight Services
The Supply Chain Management Award – OIA Global
The Young Freight Forwarder Award – Luke Brown of Daily Groupage Services
The Apprentice of the Year Award – Thomas Turner of Panalpina World Transport
The Air Cargo Services Award – Metro Shipping
European Logistics Award – Uniserve Group,
The Ocean Services Award – : NNR Global Logistics
The Cool Award – Bermuda Forwarders
The Extra Mile Award – Freightport Logistics
Robert Keen, BIFA Director General, said: “The BIFA Freight Service awards are all about rewarding excellence and the luncheon is an excellent opportunity for members and guests to network, cement existing relationships, and develop new ones.”
Voting is still open for the Air Cargo News Cargo Airline of the Year awards and new format conference which will take place on April 26 at a Heathrow Airport.
