CEVA joins the e-AWB 20% club

CEVA Logistics has joined the elite group of industry players to break through 20% penetration for e-air waybills (e-AWB) across its global business, with its September performance showing the fastest e-AWB growth of any logistics company.
CEVA has now reached 20.4% penetration and is “well on target to meet the IATA target of 22% by the end of 2014,” according to Peter Baumgartner, CEVA vice president, global air operations and compliance.
“We are fully committed to the streamlining and modernisation of processes in this industry, with many of our stations still looking to cut-over to full e-AWB usage before the end of the year.”
CEVA signed IATA’s multilateral agreement for the use of electronic air waybills last summer and is now rolling out the initiative globally after a successful initial pilot in New York, Atlanta, London and Frankfurt.
