Compliance specialist appointed by UTi

TO ENSURE continuity of compliance, UTi Worldwide has appointed Naran Andreyev to senior manager, trade services, in the logistics company’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
It is a newly-created role which directly supports Customs and regulatory compliance.
According to Ditlev Blicher, UTi president in the region, Andreyev brings a unique skillset. "He’s a licensed US Customs broker who’s lived and worked in APAC for more than 10 years. He speaks fluent Chinese and conversational Russian."
Andreyev has held a variety of roles related to trade services within America and China.
“He will ensure that proper controls are being taken to secure our clients’ supply chains and that their shipments are compliant with international Customs regulations," Blicher says.
"We are creating a worldwide trade services network of experts and systems that offers global consistency while enabling configuration on a local level to meet client needs."
Andreyev will focus on developing the region’s trade services capabilities of Customs brokerage, compliance and regulatory management.
"My background allows me the opportunity to look at the myriad issues we handle daily and provide insight based on a combination of multiple cultures and practices – basically bridging the gaps between UTi’s export and import customers," says Andreyev.
