Crane Worldwide opens Guyana office

Crane Worldwide Logistics has opened a new office in Guyana on the back of the South American country’s growing economy.

The office is located in Georgetown and offers airfreight, ocean freight, project cargo, customs brokerage and warehousing solutions in addition to services such as storage, packing, transportation and distribution.

The Guyana operations are led by Managing Director, Darren Etherington, who comes to Crane Worldwide Logistics with over 25 years of logistics experience that includes international experience in both the Middle East and the Caribbean.

Crane said that Guyana is experiencing tremendous growth.

“Production from offshore drilling alone is set to double the country’s gross domestic product by 2020 as the energy sector continues to expand,” the forwarder said. “This represents unparalleled growth and opportunity in the industry both domestically and internationally.”

“The opening of our Guyana office further demonstrates our commitment to our clients, ensuring we are located in strategic positions where they are experiencing growth. We are delighted to welcome Darren and his team in Guyana and are excited to expand our presence to assist our global clients,” said John Magee, President and CEO at Crane Worldwide Logistics.
