FedEx added to AMI’s Quick2Ship

Air Menzies International (AMI) has added FedEx as a carrier to its Quick2Ship door-to-door express product, which has operated in the US since 2011.
The extension of the program to include FedEx brings new destinations, additional frequencies and extra capabilities to Quick2Ship’s existing global coverage, said AMI, the trade-only airfreight and express wholesaler.
Quick2Ship is AMI USA’s global door-to-door product, which provides all-inclusive quotes from any US zip code to any address worldwide.
Only accessible by bona fide airfreight agents who have established credit facilities with AMI, the system provides instant online quotes which are stored for 10 days, and can then be converted to bookings without re-entering details.
Quick2Ship ─ primarily targeted at the sub-30lbs (13 kg) sector with shipments generally comprising one or two pieces ─ also provides full online tracking and tracing for every shipment.
Quick2Ship does not accept dangerous goods, live animals, certain pharmaceuticals and items prohibited by destination regulations; full up-to-date embargo information is available online during the booking process.
Olga Lebedyeva, AMI’s general manager – express services for the US, said: “Quick2Ship has been highly popular from the outset, and has grown by 15% in the past year.
“It has proven particularly popular for shipments originating outside our main gateways, where agents appreciate the all-inclusive service and pricing for their minimum shipments, as a labour-saving alternative to quoting for and arranging collection, and delivery direct to the carrier’s hub.”
