Forwarder Beacon appoints Booth to finance role

freight forwarding and supply chain finance company Beacon has appointed Brenton Booth as head of supply chain finance.

Booth joined the company on April 1 having previously run his own strategy and product development consultancy working with financial services companies. He also spent several years working at Barclays Bank.

Beacon co-founder and chief executive Fraser Robinson said: “We are delighted that Brenton has joined the Beacon team. One of our key priorities is to build the best team possible, and I have no doubt that Brenton’s  extensive experience in trade and working capital finance will be invaluable to us as we scale our supply chain finance product – our biggest differentiator in the marketplace.

“Cash flow is one of the greatest challenges facing importers today and we are committed to providing our customers with a combined solution spanning logistics and supply chain finance to drastically simplify operations and deliver value.”

Booth added: “I am excited to be joining Beacon as it continues on its rapid growth trajectory. My focus is using technology and data to inform the design and delivery of new client experiences and business solutions in the areas of supply chain finance and logistics, and I am very much looking forward to helping Beacon become a leader in these areas.”
