K+N invests in overland pharma fleet

Kuehne + Nagel (K+N) is strengthening its European pharma fleet as the market for temperature-controlled shipments continues to grow.

The forwarder has deployed 35 new pharma trailers and will add a further 45 before the end of this year – plus another 200 in the coming years – in order to ensure its PharmaChain overland service provides sufficient capacity as part of a multimodal door-to-door solution for the region’s pharma industry.

Uwe Hött, senior vice president overland, said: “Logistics solutions for the pharma and healthcare industry are among the most important growth drivers for Kuehne + Nagel’s overland and regional business.

“This investment is part of our commitment to provide comprehensive, GxP compliant transport solutions for the industry, which can be tailored to specific needs.”
