Top man for top job at Allport

UK forwarder and logistics operator, Allport Cargo Services (ACS), has appointed its managing director, Charles McGurin to the new post of chief executive officer.  McGurin took his current position in 2014.
ACS is a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Cargo Services Group, which has operations in over 30 countries worldwide and representation in a further 100.
Allport said the newly-created position of CEO “will ensure that the organisational structure of ACS adapts to meet its global aspirations.” Group chairman, Heath Zarin, commented: “We have an excellent platform for significant growth and it is essential that our organisational structure reflects our standing. As CEO, Charles McGurin will play a pivotal role in further establishing ACS as a market leader on a global scale.”
