UTI promotes McClelland

GLOBAL air and sea forwarder UTi Worldwide has appointed Mike McClelland as its senior vice-president of contract logistics and distribution in the Americas.
It expands on his previous responsibility for UTi’s distribution business in North America.
"Mike has successfully led our North American distribution business through a transition from four separate subsidiaries into one cohesive, successful business unit," remarks Ed Feitzinger, executive vice-president global operations.
"We look forward to Mike turning his focus to growing our contract logistics business while continuing to advance our distribution products. The combination of contract logistics with distribution provides seamless integrated solutions for our clients in the Americas.”
UTi operates nearly 16 million square feet of space for clients in the Americas through a combination of multi-client and dedicated warehouses.
UTi currently operates contract logistics facilities for consumer-retail, pharmaceuticals, hi-tech, automotive, aerospace and fashion industries.
