AEI makes HAECO Xiamen an authorised Conversion Center

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has selected Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited, also known as HAECO Xiamen, to act as one of its authorised AEI Conversion Centers.

HAECO Xiamen will carry out AEI conversions in the Asia Pacific region.

The company’s first conversion, a B737-800SF, is scheduled to commence in January next year. This will be followed by an additional line starting in April 2021.

AEI has four other authorised AEI Conversion Centers, including: Commercial Jet Inc., in Miami, Florida; Commercial Jet Services in Dothan, Alabama; KF Aerospace in Kelowna, B.C., Canada; and STAECO in Shandong province, People’s Republic of China.

Robert T Convey, senior vice president of sales and marketing at AEI, commented: “We are delighted to add the high-quality modification services provided by HAECO Xiamen to our growing list of authorised AEI Conversion Centers.

“This year we are seeing explosive growth and requests for the full line up of our freighter conversion offerings. The additional two modification lines will now provide AEI with a total of 14 simultaneous lines, 9 of which will be dedicated to the B737-800SF platform.”
