Air New Zealand moves to dnata

AIR New Zealand [ANZ] Cargo has switched its Heathrow ground operations to the new dnata City at the London airport.
The flag carrier has moved into the purpose-built cargo logistics centre after 17 years at its previous handling unit.
With an average monthly throughput capacity of 1.4 million kilos, dnata is additionally providing two dedicated shift managers to continuously monitor ANZ’s cargo operations.
The carrier also has access to dnata City’s dedicated pets reception centre, an important factor for ANZ Cargo, which transports significant numbers of animals across the world.
“We are really moving with the times,” Finlay McArthur, the airline’s regional cargo manager for the UK and Europe, says of the state-of-the-art facility.
“We [already] have exceptional standards of customer service – and we’re confident that being handled through this new centre will enable us to further improve our service levels.”
Mohammed Akhlaq, dnata’s cargo business development director, agrees. “We are keen to improve the speed, quality and efficiency for Air New Zealand Cargo’s customers through our investment in new facilities and technologies,” he says.
