Freight forwarder TASCO has signed up to use RedCargo, the online freight booking platform of Air Asia.

RedCargo said that TASCO was its first freight forwarding customer and that the company would be able to book space anywhere on the AirAsia extensive network, which spans over 320 routes to more than 130 airports across 25 markets in Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the US.

RedCargo Logistics chief executive Pete Chareonwongsak said: “With more than 50% of our network capacity still available for partners to book, RedCargo is open for business.

"We are confident that we will play an increasingly important role in facilitating trade and e-commerce fulfilment within Asean and across key trade lanes passing through Asia.

"We are grateful to the TASCO team for believing in our product and service quality, and we look forward to serving this partnership regionally wherever the TASCO and NYK Group are present.”

TASCO managing director Freddie Lim added: “We are very excited about this new partnership with RedCargo, which is part of the largest airline in Malaysia by fleet size and destination.

"With this tie-up, we are confident that we will be able to provide a higher level of service and competency to our clients. We look forward to working closely with RedCargo to expand our businesses both in Malaysia and regionally.”
