Qatar signs up for more WFS services in Paris

Qatar Airways has extended its contract with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), which already provides cargo handling services to the airline at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
WFS is now also responsible for ramp transportation on behalf of Qatar, transferring cargo between aircraft and warehouse for the carrier’s three daily flights linking Paris and Doha.
The handler also recently won a similar extension to its contract for EVA Air’s daily services between Paris and Taipei.
Stéphane Scholving, WFS’ director of cargo sales Europe, said: “It is always especially pleasing when major airline customers decide [to] award you responsibility for their whole chain from acceptance of cargo to delivery to the aircraft side.
“Qatar Airways and EVA Air have shown this commitment to WFS in Paris and by taking control of their end-to-end services, we are confident of delivering important service quality benefits to both airlines and their customers.”
Elsewhere in Europe, WFS is starting to handle cargo for Egyptair in Brussels and Amsterdam this month, as reported by Air Cargo News on January 23.
