Shawn Cole named vice president of Delta Cargo

Shawn Cole has been named as vice president of Delta Cargo, after the division’s president took on the extra responsibility of airport customer service earlier this year.
“Shawn is a solutions-driven Delta executive of nearly 10 years,” said Gareth Joyce, president – Delta Cargo and senior vice president – airport customer service.
“He has consistently motivated organizations to deliver maximum productivity, improve top-line growth and control costs through the most effective use of available resources and tools. This expertise positions Shawn to continue Cargo’s successful momentum as well.”
Most recently Cole served as vice president – finance and corporate planning at Delta, where he demonstrated his extensive experience in leadership, financial planning, analysis and team coordination.
In June, Joyce confirmed to Air Cargo News that the company would appoint a vice president cargo after he he was given the extra responsibility of senior vice president – airport customer service.
The extra responsibility of in-airport customer service means Joyce now plays a leading role in the airline’s largest business unit that encompasses approximately 30,000 employees across eight airport hubs and more than 200 airport stations globally.
