AirBridgeCargo reports double-digit airfreight growth as it looks ahead to 2016

AirBridgeCargo Airlines’ (ABC) strong growth continued in November with a 27% upswing in cargo carried compared to the same month a year ago.
In November, ABC transported more than 50,000 tonnes and for the first 11 months of 2015 volumes jumped by 20% year-on-year to 439,000 tonnes.
ABC executive president Denis Ilin said: “In 2015, ABC has continued following its growth strategy, which is based on a combination of operating a highly efficient fleet, network expansion to the points of production and consumption, developing niche destinations with limited belly capacity but stable cargo flows, and a high level of service quality delivered by skilled air cargo professionals.”
This year ABC has taken delivery of two new Boeing 747-8 freighters, as part of a deal signed at the Paris Air Show, and has added new services to and from Singapore, Hanoi, Helsinki, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Next year, ABC said it would planned to invest in more freighters, further expand its network and introduce additional frequencies on major markets, first of all, the US.
The airline also plans to increase connectivity options via its hub in Moscow, to offer all US destinations from all on-line stations ex Asia.
