Good news for Garuda

Indonesian flag-carrier Garuda enjoyed an impressive 22.5% year on year increase in its cargo volumes in August, reaching a figure of 34,350 tons.
The cargo load factor increased by 7.85 percentage points compared to August 2015 to reach 51.8%.
Over the course of the January – August period, Garuda carried a total of 260,412 tons of cargo, up by 13.64% over the same eight months of 2015.
The average cargo load factor over that period was 48.9%, a year on year improvement of just over 5 percentage points.
As of August, in addition to its narrowbody fleet, Garuda operated a total of 37 widebody aircraft – consisting of two Boeing 747-400s, 10 B777-300ERs, eight Airbus 330-200s and 17 A330-300s.
