Another KOG for Rhenus’s project forwarding machine

German-owned forwarder Rhenus has rebranded recently-acquired KOG Worldwide as Rhenus Project Logistics following completion of integration with the parent company.
Rhenus’s project arm now has 24 companies in 20 countries including Europe, Asia North Africa and North America and has recently opened new sites in Chicago, Bremen and Tashkent.
Managing director of Rhenus Project Logistics, Dr Tim Merklein, explained: “The KOG Group has made a name for itself in the field of project freight forwarding over more than 30 years. We wanted to provide our business partners with the assurance after the acquisition that nothing would change in the company’s structure and it would be able to continue offering its customary quality and reliability.
"We’d now like to use a standard brand name to cover all the project logistics activities within the Rhenus Group.”
The business unit plans to put even greater focus on renewable energy and offering consultancy services through its own engineering department.
