Fast footwork speeds pumps to China

Taiwan-based freight-forwarder Dimerco Express moved quickly to fly 30 tons of petrochemical pumps from Los Angeles to Tianjin in China, just two weeks after being invited to bid.
Dimerco split the shipment into two routes into China and arranged to have them cleared at Tianjin Customs within 24 hours. Customers and Dimerco team members were kept up to date through social media.
Dimerco’s district sales director in North China, Alexander King, stated: "To manage the project complexity and meet our customer’s extremely tight deadline, we leveraged our local expertise, relationship with selected airlines and local customs, network of contacts and innovative use of social media."
He added that Dimerco has now been confirmed as preferred vendor by one of the top three national oil companies in China for handling urgent project shipments from North America.
