FJ Miller leaps aboard Carousel Logistics

Carousel Logistics Group has appointed Franz-Joseph Miller as board chairman. He was co-founder of German same-day delivery specialist and former chief executive of Lufthansa’s time:matters
In his new role, he will position Carousel Logistics group – which incorporates Carousel Logistics Ltd and LSi Logistik – as a key European player.
He will also shape a new European sales team and support organic growth particularly in Northern Europe, as well as identifying potential merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities.
Carousel will also set up a new sales and innovation centre in Frankfurt. The German market has increased in importance for Carousel after last year’s merger with Munich-based high speed logistics firm LSi Logistik. The group now has a network across Europe with hubs in the UK, Germany and Spain.
European chief executive, Graham Martin: “We’re at a pivotal point in our history and know that Franz-Joseph will be invaluable in helping to develop the business particularly as the group grows through more M&A activity during the next few years.”
Last year, the company expanded its line-haul airfreight operation with a new aircraft and a new destination.
