Geodis sees strong growth

French freight forwarder Geodis saw a 3.4% rise in activity, driven by a strong showing at Geodis America (formerly OHL) and also a range of other commercial successes, said owners SNCF (French Railways) in its half-year annual results, published on 31 July.
SNCF Logistics, which includes the freight arm of the French railways, reported a +3.7% rise in sales compared with the first half of 2016.
Overall, SNCF turned its finances around from a €159m loss in the first half of 2016 to a profit of €119m for the first six months of 2017.
