WCA achieves 100% validation

WCA’s Time Critical Network has now validated all its members to its internal standard for companies operating within the movement and execution of urgent, time sensitive logistics.
The forwarder group said accreditation would allow it to compete at international level.
The Group’s global partners can now fully validate trade lanes to ensure that shipments are handled with maximum efficiency and within the required time frames.
General manager, Adam McKenna, said: “It took hard work and determination from our members to reach this point, and in order to keep this status, all future members will undergo a comprehensive validation exam as part as their application process.”
Companies applying for membership must have gained considerable experience and expertise in time critical logistics. Criteria include 24-hour availability of logistics staff including an emergency contact person; speedy and accurate response to customer requirements; clear and accurate lines of communication – especially out of office hours; and offering the quickest possible transit times at the most cost effective price.
Domestic partners need to operate a modern fleet of live satellite controlled vehicles which can be dedicated and double manned for optimum delivery times and members must have direct access to some of the quickest airfreight options.
All WCA Time Critical members must be local or regional logistics companies with good reputations in their industry specific operations.
